At the heart of our pipeline for the creation of our animated series, the animator, with the resources created upstream (storyboard, assets, rig, vfx, etc.) sets the characters and objects in motion while respecting the style and artistic vision of the directors and animation supervisors

• Create high-level animation by working from the storyboard / 3D animatic and reference documents
• Carry out the corrections requested by the animation director and supervisor using analytical skills
• Ensure that the animation respects the style and artistic vision indicated by the animation director and supervisor
• Respect deadlines and production quotas communicated by production
• Organize your work and prepare the presentation elements for the daily validations
• Offer artistic and technical solutions within the animation team

Responsibilities 

• Work from the 3D storyboard/animatic to create high level animation ;
• Ensure that the animation respects the style and artistic vision indicated by the animation director and animation supervisor ;
• Respect the production deadlines and quotas communicated by the production;
• Execute the corrections requested by the Animation Director in a spirit of analysis ;
• Organize his work and prepare the presentation elements for the daily validations

Requirements

• College and/or university education relevant to the field of animation 
• At least 2 years experience on Maya in a similar position Previous experience preferred in the production of 3D animated series or feature films
• Be able to analyze organic movement, weight, and fluidity 
• Excellent knowledge of traditional animation techniques and principles of character movementKnowledge of 3D animation production pipelines and technical constraints
• Knowledge of the animation stylisations of using twos and ones is an asset
