Under the supervision of the layout supervisor, the layout artists:

• Interpret 2D storyboards and / or scripts and create 3D shots
• Block the posing and timing of the characters in a setting
• Are responsible for the selection of camera angles and movements
• Work with their supervisor to find the best creative and technical solution to issues that may arise in a shot / sequence
• Are able to help the director in his thinking about directing
