SUPERPROD develops, produces and distributes animated and fictional feature films and TV series and has its own animation studios in Paris, Angoulême, Milan and Luxemburg as well as an office in Los Angeles.

Within our Animation team, the Rig Team builds the structures that animate the characters. As a supervisor you are both the facilitator of the team and are responsible for and the quality manager of its production. As such, you:

• Participate in the construction of the rigs of all the characters in the series,
• Supervise and support a team of riggers:

1. Ensure the technical compliance of the work files within the constraints given by the studio;
2. Ensure the artistic quality of the deformations in collaboration with the artistic direction, the modeling / surfacing supervisor and the animation direction
3. Participate in team recruitment and talent retention
4. Collaborate with the CG Sup and the TD of the project to better integrate their work into the manufacturing process and improve tools.
5. guarantee the deliverables of the department within the constraints of quality and deadlines / quotas set by the production and the director of the rig;
6. Estimate, assign, supervise and verify the work of your team before sending for validation.

Wanted profil

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a character rigger in series or feature film;
• Mastery of Maya;
• Good knowledge of python;
• Good knowledge of trigonometry;
• Good knowledge of modeling and texturing constraints;
• Good knowledge of animation needs;
• A collaborative, communicative and creative spirit;
• Previous experience as a rig supervisor is a plus.

12 months mission, due to begin in february 2022. Multiple contracts possible.

Based in Paris, Angouleme or Remote
