Fitted with a fleet of 6 vessels, ASN has installed more than 590 000 km of cable on the seabed, carried out maintenance of 300 000 km of cable, and commissioned more than 200 fiber optic systems.

*ASN UK* Production Controller

Ensure stock accuracy, transactional accuracy and adherence to the departmental SLA’s to fulfil end user (production) demand. Interface with the Production and Call Off departments on all key issues to ensure there are no line stops, resulting from materials in feed.

Process:

  • Organize accurate transaction of materials into stores WM locations and following onto supply all shop floor locations.
  • Conduct and close stock counts as and when required.
  • Identify and suggest improvements to the warehouse processes and systems to focus on value adding activity.
  • Participate in regular departmental meetings and stock reviews as required.
  • Work with the ASN systems teams in change implementation as required by their management.
  • Ensure any permits used are within date.
  • Mentor new team members. Ensure they understand what is required.
  • Build employee motivation & morale in order to be to productive.
  • Communicate effectively with departmental colleagues & supervision.
  • Build and Maintain good working relationships with department colleagues and team leader/supervisor.
  • Assist Team Leader to ensure the section's weekly production demand is met.
  • Participate in basic team briefings within section.
  • Assist Team Leader in recording basic production metrics.
  • Ensure personal Training Competency Records are up to date.
  • Ensure personal training qualification/re-qualification plans are up to date. Liaise with Supervisor.
  • Participate in personal yearly training reviews with section supervisor.
  • Adhere to local clean area rules and protocols (ESD, COSHH, Risk Assessments, PPE etc).
  • Report quality issues in a timely manner to team leader/supervisor.
  • Participate in improvements.
  • Follow the company H&S policy & behave in a safe manner.
  • Report all Accidents & Near Misses in a timely manner to Supervision.
  • Deal with personal issues (holidays, sickness, Timekeeping, grievances).
  • Complete own weekly timesheet.
  • Use of all system tools necessary for the job.
  • On-Time delivery of work-orders vs Plan.

Wanted profil

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a similar role outside or within ASN.
