Role Information

ESCP Business School invites applications for a one-year position of Affiliate Professor in Marketing including a mandate for the Academic Directorship of a highly ranked London-based MSc programme.

 

Our Department

The European Marketing Department (EDM) consists of 30 full-time faculty from various nationalities, each bringing a wide range of research interests, backgrounds, and methodological approaches. We endeavour to excel in our discipline, respecting principles of diversity, sustainability, academic freedom, and cultivating innovation through curiosity. The EDM nurtures academics, including Affiliate Professors, who strive for international impact through their scholarship and service.

Role Details

  • Salary: £52,849 to £58,828 per annum, pro rata, dependent on FTE
  • Directorship: up to an additional £7,200 per annum for responsibilities as an Academic Programme Director, depending on student intake.
  • Contract Basis - Fixed term for 12 months
  • FTE - Part time, between 0.5 and 0.75 FTE depending on teaching availability
  • Location: ESCP Business School London, 527 Finchley Road, London NW3 7BG
  • Anticipated start date: November 2026

Profile required

Candidates seeking appointment at the Affiliate level must have completed their PhD by Summer 2027 at the latest.  Candidates must have experience of teaching, and postgraduate programme leadership, with experience from a comparable institution in the United Kingdom being desirable. Evidence of exposure to international students from around the world is important.

 

For this particular role, we are looking for candidates with an established senior professional network across a range of sectors, primarily in the UK, from which to source and develop student projects, guest lecturing opportunities and other student-facing activities. A focus on luxury, beauty and fashion, creative industries and the technology sector is desirable. Candidates must demonstrate an up-to-date understanding of the impact of technology, and particularly artificial intelligence, on the practice of marketing and on teaching marketing at the postgraduate level.

 

The role is initially offered on a fixed-term basis of 12 months.
