The Head of Career Development MBA-EMBA designs and implements the career support strategy for MBA and EMBA participants, from career planning to access to professional opportunities. The role contributes to the visibility and attractiveness of the programmes by enhancing employability, student experience and career outcomes.

Working closely with academic, corporate and alumni teams, the position supports the development of a personalised and international career support offering aligned with accreditation standards and recruitment market expectations.


MBA PROGRAMME

1. Design and management of the career journey

  • Design and structure the student career journey around the Restart / Discovery / Placement phases, taking into account career repositioning, employability and access to the hidden job market.
  • Develop an individualised support approach adapted to experienced and international MBA profiles.
  • Ensure the consistency and overall quality of the career experience provided to students, in line with recruitment market standards.

2. Individual coaching and placement support

  • Act as the main career contact for MBA and EMBA students, guiding them towards the most relevant services and stakeholders.
  • Provide continuous and personalised support from September until professional placement through a structured annual schedule of in-depth career meetings.
  • Support students in defining their professional goals and implementing a structured job search strategy (targeting, networking, applications).
  • Support the development of effective applications aligned with market expectations (CV, LinkedIn, pitch, networking).
  • Prepare students for recruitment processes including interviews, case studies and professional fit through training sessions and simulations.
  • Design and facilitate collective workshops related to job search topics when needed.
  • Identify employability barriers and implement tailored corrective actions.
  • Coordinate support activities with campus teams to ensure continuity throughout the year.
  • Support recent graduates in their professional integration using an approach inspired by experienced recruitment practices.
  • Help students build long-term career management capabilities (market awareness, decision-making, career progression planning).

3. Corporate relations, alumni engagement and sourcing strategy

  • Proactively identify and engage professionals, recruiters and alumni from the companies and sectors targeted by students. Collaborate with corporate teams to identify networking and employment opportunities across campuses.
  • Design and organise structured interactions between students and professionals with two objectives:
    • career exploration and orientation;
    • recruitment, placement and access to concrete opportunities.
  • Implement an anticipatory schedule of interactions ensuring progressive and strategic exposure to key market stakeholders.
  • Identify and share job opportunities from the ESCP ecosystem (LinkedIn, alumni, faculty, partners, etc.) through continuous multi-channel monitoring.

4. Employment survey management and continuous improvement

  • Lead the annual employment survey process from February onwards in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Analyse survey data (placement rates, timelines, sectors, functions, satisfaction) to identify trends and improvement areas.
  • Implement adjustments and improvements to career support initiatives based on observed outcomes.

EMBA PROGRAMME

  • Design and structure a career support offering tailored to Executive MBA profiles and their professional evolution and positioning challenges.
  • Provide resources and tools enabling participants to independently manage their professional trajectory.
  • Deliver targeted individual support on demand regarding positioning, strategy and application tools.
  • Continuously adapt the offering according to participant needs and feedback.
  • Develop synergies between MBA and EMBA programmes.

Profile required

Professional experience

  • Significant experience in Talent Acquisition, recruitment and executive search, including recruitment of experienced managers and mid-level executives with 5 to 10 years of professional experience.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment processes for middle management, functional expert and future leadership positions for MBA profiles, and executive-level positions for EMBA profiles.
  • Ability to translate recruiter expectations into practical and operational recommendations for professionals undergoing career consolidation or transition.
  • Proven experience supporting international professionals involved in mobility or career repositioning processes.
  • Strong understanding of challenges related to mid-career and executive-level trajectories, including:
    • role evolution or redefinition;
    • sector or organisational changes;
    • international or regional mobility.
  • Ability to support students in realistic and targeted career transitions balancing professional ambitions, market constraints and career consistency.
