As part of the development of its School of Technology, ESCP is seeking an experienced professional in scientific direction and higher education to contribute to the School’s scientific and academic orientation.
The role aims to strengthen the academic excellence of the School of Technology’s programmes, including both degree programmes and Executive Education programmes, while contributing to the research strategy, international academic visibility, and the development of high-level scientific partnerships.
The appointed person will play a key role in defining the scientific vision of the School of Technology, developing its research ecosystem, and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration at the intersection of technology, management and innovation.
Reporting to the School of Technology, the appointed person will be responsible for:
- ensuring scientific and academic coordination across the School of Technology’s full-time and part-time programmes;
- coordinating the academic and scientific development of programme content;
- organising and coordinating research activities and scientific initiatives within the School;
- deliver 150 hours of teaching per academic year across Bachelor, Master, and Executive Education programs;
- supervise dissertations or research projects, and contribute approximately 30 hours to the supervision of dissertations or theses, particularly at the Bachelor, Master, or PhD levels.
- developing and leading scientific partnerships with academic institutions and international research centres;
- contributing to the School of Technology’s research strategy and strengthening its academic reputation;
- supporting the development of the teaching faculty and encouraging interdisciplinary research collaboration;
- contributing to pedagogical innovation and the integration of research into teaching;
- representing the School of Technology in academic networks, conferences and scientific events;
- promoting continuous improvement in academic quality and scientific excellence.
Profile required
The successful candidate will hold a PhD in mathematics, computer science, physics or a related scientific discipline, awarded by a recognised higher education institution.
The person will have significant academic experience as a professor, researcher or scientific lead, together with a recognised research track record, demonstrated through publications in recognised international academic journals.
The selected profiles will also bring:
- proven experience in coordinating academic programmes and research activities;
- experience in developing international academic and scientific partnerships;
- strong coordination, organisational and stakeholder management skills;
- excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in French is an asset;
- the ability to work in an international and multicultural environment;
- a strategic vision enabling the balance between academic excellence, research development and institutional priorities.
