As part of its activities, ESCP Business School is seeking a legal apprentice to support its legal team on matters relating to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and contract law.
Main responsibilities
1. Personal data protection – GDPR
• Help monitor compliance with the GDPR in relation to the processing of personal data.
• Help update the data processing register and documentation relating to data protection.
• Help draft and review privacy policies, privacy notices and internal procedures.
• Assist with the analysis of contracts involving the processing of personal data, in particular data processing agreements.
• Monitor legal developments regarding regulatory changes and recommendations from the CNIL.
2. Contract law
• Assist with the drafting, analysis and review of contracts.
• Help to identify legal risks and analyse contractual clauses.
• Help to review and update contract templates.
• Keep track of contractual documentation.
• Help to analyse contracts drafted in French and English.
Profile required
A student in the first or second year of a Master’s degree in business law, contract law, digital law or data protection.
• Fluency in English is essential, both written and spoken, in order to analyse and process legal documents in English.
• Good knowledge of contract law and a keen interest in data protection.
• Excellent analytical, summarising and legal drafting skills.
• Meticulous, able to work independently, well-organised and able to maintain confidentiality.
• Previous experience in a legal department or law firm would be an advantage.
