As part of its real estate projects across Europe, ESCP is looking for a professional with extensive technical expertise in building construction to support and safeguard its real estate projects from design through to completion, acting on behalf of the client or end users.

Within the Real Estate Department, you will provide technical expertise throughout the projects and contribute to informed decision-making by the Department. Your role will help ensure that technical solutions are aligned with project requirements, budgets, timelines and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing design studies and assessing the proposed technical solutions.

  • Identifying and anticipating technical, financial, contractual and scheduling considerations requiring particular attention.

  • Assessing the impact of technical choices on costs, timelines and quality.

  • Reviewing proposals submitted by architects and engineering teams, design consultancies, contractors and project management teams.

  • Reviewing budgets, cost estimates, schedules and key milestones.

  • Participating in project reviews and providing well-supported recommendations to inform decision-making.

  • Collaborating with campus teams and the various project partners across Europe.

Profile required

Skills and experience

  • Engineering degree, building engineering qualification or equivalent education.

  • At least 10 to 15 years of experience in the design, construction and/or management of real estate projects.

  • Experience in client-side project management or client-side project management consultancy.

  • Extensive technical expertise in building construction is essential.

  • Ability to assess complex issues, identify areas requiring particular attention and propose appropriate solutions.

  • Experience within an engineering consultancy or general contractor would be an advantage.

  • Experience working on projects across several European countries is highly desirable.

  • Experience with commercial buildings, higher education facilities, hospitality projects or public-access buildings would be an advantage.

  • Professional proficiency in English is essential.

  • Ability to work effectively with multicultural teams.
