AI Engineer in training at Papival W/M

The company

Papival SA is a Valais-based SME specializing in the distribution of packaging as well as hygiene products and materials for professionals, private or public authorities, hotels, cleaning companies, crafts and industry. Papival SA is a member of a large purchasing group specializing in hygiene – the GEH group – and backed by the European distribution network DHYS.

Post description

The candidate will work on a specific project during 18 months, while learning AI theoretical skills based on Idiap’s online courses available on the Swiss Distance Learning University platform.

Theoretical courses represent about 50% of the workload. The applicant will have to follow the theoretical training and pass the exams.

The second half of the work is dedicated to the applied learning through the development of a project linked to one of Papival’s domain. In collaboration with the Papival’s team, the candidate will have to:

• Identify development opportunities
• Define and implement a development project, in agreement with the Papival’s team

You will collaborate within a small team, in a solid SME, with a human dimension and which occupies a leading position in the canton of Valais.

Profile required

• Bachelor in Computer Sciences or an equivalent degree
• Advanced level in English (oral and written)
• Team spirit
• Curious about topics such as marketing, sales, planning, logistics.
