We are launching a call for applications for the position of Associate Dean for Teaching. This position plays a central role in advancing the school’s educational mission and ensuring that our teaching activities are effective, innovative, and aligned with Rennes SB’s strategic vision.
The Associate Dean for Teaching is a key member of the faculty leadership team and reports directly to the Academic Dean. The Associate Dean for Teaching represents the RSB top management team, embodies its decisions, and shares responsibility for their implementation.


The Associate Dean for Teaching:

  • Maintains and develops organizational processes related to faculty teaching and associated activities.
  • Ensures collaboration with Program Direction teams and internal service providers to achieve the school’s strategic goals in teaching and learning.
  • Functionally manages and coordinates the Heads of Departments to ensure coherence in teaching and service activities across academic departments.
  • Promotes excellence and continuous improvement in teaching practices, faculty engagement, and student learning experiences.
  • Oversees key academic processes related to the Graduating Project and Bachelor Dissertation.
  • Supports the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and initiatives related to teaching quality, faculty workload planning, and pedagogical innovation.
  • Contributes to accreditation-related activities and quality assurance processes associated with teaching and learning.
  • Ensures compliance with the regulatory framework and ethics rules.


We are looking for a committed academic leader who will actively shape and support Rennes SB’s teaching strategy in collaboration with colleagues across departments, programs, and professional services.

The main requirement is a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence, strong organizational and leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate and support faculty activities in a collaborative and constructive manner.

Profil recherché

Hold the rank of Associate Professor or higher.
Hold a PhD.
Be fluent in English and have a professional level of French.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience in managerial or administrative roles within a higher education context.
Good knowledge of the academic processes and standards at Rennes School of Business.
Recognised teaching excellence and a commitment to academic excellence.
