SUPERPROD develops, produces and distributes animated and fictional feature films and TV series and has its own animation studios in Paris, Angoulême, Milan and Luxemburg as well as an office in Los Angeles.

Job description

The Previz & Layout supervisor accompanies and guides the deployment of the department 's pipeline within the studio (tools, camera rig, procedures, etc.), while ensuring the director's vision .

He has a highly developed sense of staging and aesthetics.

He supervises and coordinates a team of previz and/or layout artists and ensures the transition from 2D ptrevisualisation to 3D for a smooth start to animation.

In charge of the deliverables of his departmentn while respecting the schedule, the budget and the expected quality.

He approves the shots before 

Estimate the working time (bid) for the tasks of his department

Responsible for meeting deadlines in collaboration with the production manager

Ensure presentations to the client and feedback on approvals/notes

Generates documentation for the methods which are specific to the project

Defines the specifications / needs of his department for the project and sends them to the dedicated TD Support of the project

Ensure the recruitment of his team, in close collaboration with the department director

Ensures the well-being of his team, raises his desire for development with the production management

Start date: December 2022  

Duration: long-term mission: 12 months

Location: At the studio in Paris or Angoulême, partial remote work possible.

Profile required

Qualifications required

Minimum 5 years of experience in the animation cinema sector in film production, television series or VFX.

Previous supervisory experience with at least one feature film assignment.

Mastery of management and good ability to develop his team.

Have an excellent knowledge of MAYA software;

Be comfortable with the Linux / Unix environment;

Communicate effectively and have good interpersonal relationships;

Guide and train team members;

Have a good working knowledge of the pipelines of other departments;

Have experience with the asset manager Shotgun;

Have a good command of written and spoken English;

Be a European citizen or have a work visa for France

Fluent / bilingual English (to communicate with the director and artistic director who are English-speaking)
