Context and Missions

As a Pre-Sales Manager you work closely with the regional sales team to qualify and develop strategic and complex sales opportunities for existing customers, new prospects and new market segments.

The role requires close liaison with external customers, partners and with specialists in the Broadpeak internal Engineering, Operations, Sales and Marketing departments.

Taking care on post-sales activities is part of the tasks which enter in the Pre-Sales role. The Pre-Sales is the solution owner when the project starts, and the Technical Account Manager when the customer is in production.

 

Role & Responsibilities:

 

Client interactions

  • Take ownership and act as the interface between the Customer and Broadpeak functional departments to resolve complex technical sales issues.
  • Respond on time and accurately to customer questions, RFIs and RFPs and develop strong relationships with key technical players in the account.
  • You are also responsible for providing demonstrations of the Broadpeak solutions to MEA customers. This includes installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting and debugging complex system problems on Proof-of-Concepts involving Broadpeak and associated equipment. It can happen on customers premises, on show floors or directly in the cloud.

 

Internal interactions

  • In coordination with Sales and Professional Services, make sure that, for each project signed, the handover with the Operations team is done without any technical uncertainties.
  • Provide feedback from customers to Broadpeak Marketing and Engineering departments on new product feature requirements.

 

Sales Supporting activities

  • Support Sales by interfacing with existing and prospective customers to determine their technical requirements and to discuss and develop complex technical solutions.
  • Support Sales activities on a technical level at exhibitions and conferences. This includes assisting with planning and the setup and presenting of demonstrations.
  • Support Operations team in the full understanding of the ecosystem designed to answer the customer expectations.

 

Market expension missions

  • Prepare and deliver detailed product demonstrations and technical presentations to prospect customers and partners for various market segments.
  • Assists with business development efforts and strategic relationships.

 

Profile required

 

University degree in computer science, electronic engineering or telecommunications related field.

Minimum of 5 years relevant and progressive experience with a proven track record in complex software, services and solution selling environment.

 

  • Knowledge and experience in the Broadcast and /or Telco markets is desirable.
  • Significant expertise in the following areas is desirable:
    • Content Delivery Networks
    • Streaming video technologies
    • IPTV, Cable TV & OTT TV system architectures
    • Content management systems
    • Video Encoding technologies
    • Data Analytics
  • Excellent writing ability and presentation skills.
  • Strong business orientation, analysis/problem solving, negotiation and collaboration skills.
  • Fluency in oral and written English is essential.
  • French and Arabic languages is a plus.

 

Soft Skills

  • Good communication, Positive and enthusiastic team player.
  • Self-starter and willing to learn.
  • Able to work in a multi-cultural environment and with large autonomy.

 

Working Conditions

  • Able to work in a fast changing, highly dynamic, geographically dispersed environment.
  • Be willing to travel extensively within MEA to assist in a wide range of prospects.
