The position

The position

We are looking for a Senior IT Engineer (Server Administration) to temporarily strengthen our team for a 6-month mission starting in April 2026.

 

The IT department manages both:

  • A high-performance computing (HPC) cluster dedicated to AI workloads
  • Office IT systems (network, storage, and user services)

This infrastructure supports more than 120 employees and requires high standards in terms of performance, reliability, and security.

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute to the operation and evolution of the hybrid IT infrastructure, which includes both traditional office services and HPC platforms dedicated to AI. This includes system- and application-level updates.
  • Ensure the availability, performance, and security of systems (servers, GPU clusters, storage, virtualization, networks).
  • Contribute to advanced infrastructure oversight: monitoring, alerting, tuning, incident prevention, and rapid resolution of issues.
  • Participate in the automation of operations (deployments, patching, configuration management) to reduce manual intervention and improve reliability.
  • Work closely with other team members (5 people in total) to distribute responsibilities, share expertise, and ensure service continuity.
  • Provide advanced technical support to internal users: in-depth analyses, architecture advice. 

What we're looking for 

  • A Degree in Computer Science (Master’s or Engineering), or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in Linux-based environments
  • Experience managing complex infrastructures and resource management systems
  • Strong expertise in Linux environments (RHEL, Rocky)
  • Experience with high-performance file systems (NFS, BeeGFS, NetApp)
  • Knowledge of virtualization and containerization (VMware, Proxmox, Docker)
  • Solid networking skills (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalling)
  • Experience with automation tools (Ansible)
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Centreon)
  • Knowledge of identity and access management (AD, LDAP, Kerberos)

Experience with HPC cluster administration (Slurm) is a strong plus

Experience with centralized logging tools is a plus
