Job role overview

The role at Wewise offers a unique opportunity for dynamic supply chain professionals seeking to work in an international environment. As a vital member of our multinational team, you will be at the forefront of driving operational excellence, supporting strategic initiatives, and fostering cross-border collaboration. You will play a pivotal part in developing the supply chain capability and strengthening the relationships within our network of Wewise entities, facilitating best practice procurement processes and ensuring the organisation remains agile and responsive in a rapidly evolving market. With a particular focus on pan-European strategic supplier engagement and process standardisation, the ideal candidate will be empowered to influence outcomes, build meaningful connections, deliver cost efficiencies and leave a lasting impact across the business.

 

You will be reporting to the Wewise Europe Programme Manager & Operations Partner. You will enjoy a high degree of autonomy, flexibility, and exposure to both local and international business units

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Roadmap and Operating Model: Develop and define the long-term supply chain roadmap and future operating model for Wewise Europe. Work closely with Wewise business units, the Wewise Europe team and EMS Management Board to align on the target operating model for the supply chain function across Wewise Europe.
  • Strategic Procurement Leadership: Own the long-term procurement strategy for Wewise Europe. Act as the primary contact point between multiple Wewise business units throughout Europe. Lead the development and execution of joint procurement strategies across Wewise Europe. Drive cost optimisation and favourable contractual terms for renewable energy equipment.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and nurture high-value relationships with key suppliers. Attend supplier events, negotiations, and site visits to reinforce Wewise’s reputation as a preferred partner across the continent.
  • Tender Management: Translate business and technical requirements into robust tender documentation. Manage end-to-end tender processes, supplier engagement, Q&A, supplier interviews, bid evaluation, and negotiation. Ensure transparency, competitiveness, and alignment with Wewise and DCC sustainability and compliance standards.
  • Supply Chain Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and additional opportunities for value creation across the supply chain operating model. Propose actionable solutions and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality of service delivery. Initial area of focus in addition to procurement will be logistics.
  • Knowledge Sharing & Training: Facilitate the exchange of best practices, innovations, and lessons learned amongst Wewise entities. Lead or support cross-regional training sessions, workshops, and team-building exercises as required.
  • Reporting: Utilise digital tools and platforms to collaborate effectively with colleagues across Europe. Track the order volumes placed, benchmark the corresponding savings and share these monthly with the Wewise Europe Programme Manager & Operations Partner. Work closely with the Wewise Europe Team to align on key stakeholder engagement. Collaborate with the Wewise Europe MD and Programme Manager & Operations Partner to prepare regular reports for the EMS Management Board. Present to the EMS Management Board to provide regular updates on key developments and to assist with decision-making.

Candidate profile

  • Excellent Communication: Articulate in both written and spoken English, with proven ability to tailor messaging to varied audiences. Additional fluency in German or French is highly advantageous and will be a significant asset in this role.
  • Problem Solver: Resourceful, analytical, and solution oriented. Able to approach challenges with creativity and resilience, adapting to new situations with ease.
  • Results-driven: Demonstrates a strong track record of delivering outcomes in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Comfortable with both strategic thinking and hands-on execution. Adept at using collaboration and project management tools to stay organised and connected with a geographically dispersed team.
  • Industry Expertise: Proven experience in supply chain management and/or procurement of solar PV equipment. Technical understanding of how solar PV systems operate. Strong negotiation and supplier management skills. Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments across multiple countries. Familiarity with EU procurement and supply chain regulations.
  • Travel Readiness: Willingness and ability to travel regularly to Wewise entities, supplier events, conferences, and trade fairs across Europe. Some trips may require extended stays or participation outside of standard business hours.
  • Work Location: The position may be based in any country where Wewise has a local business presence (including the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Austria, Denmark, and Norway).
  • Employer: You will be employed by the local Wewise Operating Company in your country of residence.
  • Right to Work: Candidates must have the legal right to live and work in their selected country of employment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business management, supply chain, economics or similar (2.1 equivalent or above). Master’s degree in supply chain management or similar.

 

Compensation

Wewise offers a highly competitive salary package tailored to your skills, experience, and the country of employment. Our compensation philosophy ensures fairness and transparency, aligning with market benchmarks and recognising the value you bring to the team.

  • Base Salary: 50-55 k€ fixed salary + 8 to 10% variable
