1.         PRIMARY PURPOSE AND OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB:

The role will be responsible for the planning, delivery and oversight of all capital works at ASN Greenwich. Working with the Site Services Manger the role will be responsible for the managing, reporting and tracking of capital expenditure and strategic oversight of the capital plan for a rolling five-year period.

The role will be the single point of contact for a broad range of capital activities including small works up to the larger scale, multimillion pound site improvement projects.

The role will be based at Greenwich and responsible for activities related to this site but should be aware of the broader context of the business agenda in France and Nokia more widely.

 

2.          MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

Primary Responsibilities:

To work with the facilities team and delivery the capital agenda for Greenwich. The role will be required to consider how activities can be completed to meet operational and strategic objectives such and energy saving targets and waste management. The role will be responsible for the oversite and management of the project management office hierarchy of documentation and CDMC where required.

The role will be the single point of contact and focus for all capital delivery at Greenwich including production projects. This will include the chairing and reporting generated from the monthly review meetings with all stakeholders to track financial and delivery performance.

 

Team Work and Core Duties:

 

The Capex Delivery Manager will be autonomously working directly for the facilities team and be fully embedded within the team carrying out duties that will include, but not limited to the following activities,

 

·         Responsible for the tracking and management of all capital projects at ASN and developing /leading the monthly review progress meeting.

·         Monthly reporting and tracking of financial spend, invoicing and commitments on projects, escalating where variations or changes lead to overspend. Capital plan circa £4-5 million per annum.

·         Management and coordination of consultant’s, specialist and contractors to deliver Capex program.

·         Delivery of accurate and effective project progress reports that can be understood and accessible across the business.

·         Production of dashboards and strategic information to assist high level reporting in the organization on program and performance.

·         Production of Specification and project documentation to facilitate the initiation of projects and feasibilities to support business development and the capital agenda.

·         Delivery of directly managed small works/maintenance projects on time/budget to a high-quality standard

·         Ensuring a strong and robust communication strategy/plan is in place between the Site Services and manufacturing teams during the project process and on a regular basis.

·         Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders

·         Support of the broader Site Services team to manage holiday/sickness cover when required.

·         Regular review of facilities procedures and risk assessments to ensure they remain up to and in date.

·         Induction of contractors where required.

·         Checking RAM/H&S documentation where required for visiting contractors.

·         Arranging contractors’ visits

·         Supporting monthly/weekly reporting

·         Communication with stakeholders/arranging access.

 

Wanted profil

Education, Knowledge and Experience required for the job

  • A minimum of ten years relevant construction project delivery in a broad range of industries.
  • A degree in project management or significant vocational experience/professional qualifications in cradle to grave project delivery.
  • H&S Qualification (IOSH – SH&E for Construction or equivalent) related to construction management.
  • Detailed understanding of the CDMC role and management of small works HSE.
  • Expert user of MS Projects or project management equivalent.
  • Superior organisational and planning skills ideally in and around a manufacturing environment or equivalent.
  • Demonstrative ability to identify and deliver improvement initiatives.
  • A high level of problem solving and facilitation skills.
  • Experienced Microsoft office user – Powerpoint/Excel/Word etc.
  • Stakeholder management of multi-decision makers, colleagues, peers and cross functional teams.
  • A proactive individual able to grasp new ideas and concepts, perform under pressure, manage conflicting priorities and changing circumstances.
  • Solution and output driven managing changes of scope and circumstances in an effective and efficient manner.
  • An excellent communicator and team member motivating themselves and the teams around them to deliver project and operational objectives against hard deadlines.
  • An individual who thrives under pressure managing multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Experienced in the RIBA project lifecycle.
  • Demonstrative experience of managing the projects PMO, filing and record keeping processes.
  • Experience and knowledge of working with engineering and technical staff with a good understanding of engineering services terminology.
  • IOSH/H&S qualified/experience preferred.
