Lead elaboration of tenders/ contracts. Act as tender primary point of contact with the customer, develop and implement tender strategy in coordination with senior management, areas, bid team, legal, finance, technical & operations directorates to deliver tenders on time. In addition, manage a commercial bid manager team.

Main responsibilities


Manage the commercial bid manager team: performs annual appraisals, defines development plans, approves leaves, etc. Coordinate the workload of the team. Provide support and commercial knowledge to the team when required, up to acting as a Commercial bid manager if necessary

For each tender:

  • Coordinate the bid team (technical, marine etc.) and ASN departments involved in the bid process and bid preparation. Is accountable for bid process implementation and bid delivery.
  • Organise and participate in the bid strategy definition (SFM) after validation by commercial senior management and executives. Meet internal targets (level of risks, VM, cash-flow, …). Check that the offer final content is full and comprehensive.
  • Foster/ promote identifications of selling points, competitive advantages. Mitigate competitiveness versus risk and profitability
  • Develop the commercial content of the bid (GTC General Terms & Conditions, price schedules, billing schedule) ensuring that the internal tender process is followed. Promote cost and lead time optimisations, meet/ exceed customer requirements/ expectations.

Manage commercial negotiations up to the signature and coming into force. Participate to offer presentation meetings and travel accordingly.

Support his/her team members in the elaboration of bid answer, follow work progress. Provide a first level of verification of the offer content.

Profile required

Master degree in engineering or business or equivalent experience

5 years of experience in telecom sector, in commercial or near-commercial jobs.

Management experience is a plus
