OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB 

To lead New Product/Process Introduction, Improvement project(s), with associated documentation for theindustrialization. Introduction of new high reliability products to manufacturing within ASN standards and procedures.Provide technical support to project team, production, project stakeholders, liaising with R&D and support manufacturingto ensure any issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.  

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Daily management and coordination of activities towards the Engineers.

  • Prioritise tasks according to project and manufacturing needs.

  • Report weekly on the progress of activities to the Industrial Manager.

  • Design the technical solutions (Mechanical design of the test bench, mechanical assembly process, tools, tooling,manufacturing equipment) to be put into production.

  • Create the documentary package for new product/ process solutions (mechanical assembly procedures, toolsdocumentation, tooling drawings, manufacturing equipment procedures, etc) following ASN procedures and standards.

  • Providing mechanical input into test bench procedures (tooling, assembly information, layouts, etc).

  • Validation of the tooling, test benches (ergonomics, safety, etc), new processes, etc prior to introduction intomanufacturing.

  • Work in close collaboration with the Manufacturing team, R&D, Production, Quality, Test/Software Engineering andProduction Support Engineering, Material Planning, Purchasing, Supplier Quality, Health and Safety teams in a processof continuous improvement.

  • Drive and coordinate the delivery of the deliverables required during the introduction phases of new products and rampup projects.

  • Creating and delivering work plans, resource requirements, proposals, engineering estimates, and risk and opportunityanalyses.

  • Manage tooling quantities according to the capacity required by the business.

  • Support investigations on customer product returns and manufacturing failures.

  • Participate in a cross-functional team to develop and implement cost reduction ideas.

  • ITS, Permit, PFMEA, lessons learned management.

  • Manage NPI releases (DR2M) to achieve manufacturing plan.

  • SPR and PO management.

  • Manage training of operators on new build and test processes in conjunction with training school.

  • Manage New Product Introduction and New Process Introduction reviews and feedback with stakeholders (SED,Quality, Training, Manufacturing, Production Support, etc ).

  • Document approvals/Design Reviews

 

Wanted profil

REQUIRED EDUCATION & TRAININGS

  • Degree calibre level in engineering or equivalent

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCES & COMPETENCIES

  • Good Overall Knowledge in submarine products.

  • Experience in Mechanical process Engineering.

  • Understanding of electromechanical production processes.

  • Awareness in Health and Safety.

  • Experience in planning.

  • Knowledge / experience of cellular manufacture, Lean Manufacturing, kaizen, 5S, PFMEA.

  • Experience in working in Product Design and industrialisation as an engineer for at least 5-10 years.

  • Beneficial to have experience as a Lead Engineer, Project Leader or Senior Engineer positions.

  • High level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies
