Role purpose:

To provide test facilities, software and documentation for industrialization and introduction of new high reliability products into production. Provide technical support to production, liaising with R&D and support manufacturing to ensure any issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.

Role and Responsibilities:

• • Test bench design & Support
• • Test software development & support (Labview /Test stand).
• • Check test solutions with Health and Safety team.
• • Create test design documentation including test instructions, specifications, drawings, and verification plans.
• • Liaise directly with SED and Technical leader on Technical ETS/DMTS issues.
• • Specific product issues- Test failures/test issues
• • Liaise directly with SED and technical leaders on product performance issues detected during electrical/Optical/Performance testing.
• • Provide technical support to manufacturing including hands-on debug of test systems.
• • Support manufacturing with testing.
• • Provide support rota monthly to Manufacturing.
• • Training and support of manufacturing on new test process.
• • DR2M support – Issue of composite TIS & Test software.
• • Liaise directly with Database team.
• • Storage and analyse the test results.
• • Report on capacity increase to technical leaders.
• • Failure analysis on product returns from Calais/field.
• • Work closely with the R&D, Production, Quality, Engineering, and Production Engineering teams.

Wanted profil

Education/qualifications/experience:
•    Experience in integration and validation of optical transmission equipment.

•    Knowledge in system and software architecture, SVN

•    Knowledge of several communication protocols (RS232, GPIB, LAN)

•    Knowledge of programming languages like C ++, LabView, Labwindows / CVI, TestStand, 
Language 1 (TL1), perl

•    Basics of data, MySQL 

•    Experience in working as an engineer for at least 3 years
