Primary purpose:

  • Ensure 100% compliance of key Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) supplied parts to ASN specifications through product audits.
  • Lead Quality Systems & Manufacturing process audits of key EMS suppliers and report findings.
  • Liaise between key EMS suppliers, Design & Supply Chain teams in the event of a Technical Query.
  • Main Quality POC between EMS suppliers & ASN, facilitating resolutions where required.
  • Frequent travel to key EMS suppliers within EMEA.. help develop & improve quality processes/outcomes.
  • Fluent spoken & written French & English mandatory.

 

Role and Responsibilities include:

Process

·       Audit EMS suppliers’ manufacturing processes looking for improvement opportunities.

·       Engage EMS with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations using 8D methodology, Fishbone/Ishikawa/5Ys.

·       Engage EMS regarding use of Risk Analysis tools (e.g. PFMEA) in order to identify & mitigate against potential risks to ASN product quality & on-time delivery, especially important for New Products & Change Management.

·       Perform detailed analysis of EMS’ ASN product non-conformance drivers with a view to identifying trends.

·       Provide innovative solutions and suggestions to drive improvements within EMS manufacturing areas.

·       Provide guidance/support to ASN & EMS Manufacturing teams on all aspects relating to quality.

·       Support and conduct EMS audits as required – Component, assembled product and processes.

·       Monitor EMS compliance to TL9000 & specified ASN requirements, report findings, agree follow up Corrective Actions & escalate where necessary in order to remove obstacles hindering task completion.

Team Work

·       Work with Design, Supply Chain Engineering & Manufacturing teams on all aspects Quality Assurance & Control.

·       Communicate effectively with ASN Functional Leaders regarding performance of EMS suppliers.

·       Build and Maintain good working relationships with EMS Suppliers & ASN Functional Teams.

·       Help to drive a Quality and Right First-Time culture within EMS Suppliers.

·       Support ASN production on all EMS related supplier quality issues to ensure timely resolution.

Travel

·       Frequent visits to EMS suppliers in EMEA area.. UK based but 50% travel expectation.

 

QHSE

·       Respond to product quality issues in a timely manner.

·       Support and participate in improvement initiatives, quality projects and programs: continuous improvement events within the business management system, Lean / site improvements, organisations culture change programme, Jidoka etc.

·       Ensure ASN ESD Protocols are followed.

·       Report all Accidents & Near Misses in a timely manner to HSE Department.

Wanted profil

Education/qualifications/experience:
•    Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
•    Previous experience in an EMS manufacturing environment is mandatory. 
•    Min. 5yrs experience as Quality Engineer facilitating multi-Functional teams with process improvement activities.
•    Fluent French & English speaker.
