General Description
Validation and test of ASN Power Feeding Equipment (PFE) product which provides the line current to power undersea cable systems.
Job Purpose
To ensure the product is designed to the necessary standards of safety and functional compliance.
Confirm the product operates in line with feature descriptions and electrical design specifications.
Responsibilities include:
Work with Product Development to develop test programmes and create compliance reports which demonstrate the product is operating within design limits and safety requirements.
Organise and follow external test programmes to ensure the product is compliant to international standards for transportation testing, EMC and safety.
Perform system level tests to ensure the software-controlled system operates as specified.
Liaise with component suppliers and Product Development to ensure components and assemblies meet necessary safety standards, developing test processes to demonstrate compliance where required.
Wanted profil
Experience & Qualifications
Degree/HND/HNC in Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
Software and Hardware testing experience of software-controlled systems.
High standard of organisation, communication and technical report writing.
Experience in defining test requirements and test equipment.
Fault diagnostics skills including fault identification and reporting.
Additional Experience Preferred
Familiar with IEC 62368 or similar functional safety standards.
Understanding of EMC testing and requirements.
Experience of H V testing processes
Analysis and interpretation of test data
Preparation of compliance reports
