OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB

To assemble and test Submerged Plant manufacturing assemblies to the required production specifications and to the standard hours.

Ensure  adherence to safety and quality protocols.

 

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Maintain high quality in building product, must have minimum 85% Operational Compliance Audit (OCA) score.Follow all manufacturing processes, raise issues as they arise.
  • Adhere to stop to work and intervene policy.
  • Read and follow instructions, drawings and specifications in-line with contract assembly requirements.
  • Help to drive and maintain the quality standard required for the product, ensuring any concerns are taken to supervision.
  • Work with colleagues and supervision to improve quality at all times.
  • Understand and comply with the clean area environmental rules
  • Adhere to mandatory Quality and Safety procedures, including build documentation, ESD, Risk assessments, COSHH and Manual Handling regulations.
  • Ensure all operations required are carried out to the correct build standard and in the prescribed sequence including recording of SAP transactions.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing and QRQC

RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTONOMY

  • Communicate effectively with departmental staff & supervision.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with relevant stakeholders.
  • Adhere to local clean area rules (ESD, Washing hands etc). Report non-compliance to supervisor.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & TRAININGS

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Lean manufacturing principles 

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCES & COMPETENCIES

  • Experience of Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Previous experience of working within a clean area manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Good hand-eye coordination, dexterity, mental agility and ability to learn.
  • Experience of product mechanical assembly is essential.
  • Experience of Fibre Optic Splicing, Hand soldering, product test and operator mentoring.
  • Computer skills.
  • Presentation skills
  • Communication skills, written and oral
  • Familiarity with company policies and procedure
