OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB
- Perform a variety of Product Inspection activities including electrical, optical & mechanical inspection.
- Inspect parts and assemblies to the required specifications, within the inspection standard hours.
- Raise non-conformance report in event of an observed or measured deviation from specified requirements.
- Mentor lesser experience Inspectors where required & lead by example following all procedures.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
Team Work
Communicate effectively with departmental (Quality) staff, Team Leads & Quality Inspection Manager.
Build and maintain good working relationships with Production staff, Team Leads and Supervisors.
Planning and Reporting
Liaise with Leading Hand to ensure training material availability.
Assist Leading Hand in tracking & recording key departmental KPIntal KPIs.Training
Training
Ensure departmental Training Competency Records are up to date.
Ensure departmental training qualification/requalification plans are up to date.
QHSE
Enforce & Adhere to local clean area rules (ESD, Washing hands etc). Report non-compliances.
Participate in improvements & assist in improvement implementation.
Assist Quality Inspection Manager to ensure company H&S policy is applied & ensure staff behave in a safely.
Assist Quality Inspection Manager to ensure Departmental health safety checks are carried out on time and equipment is labelled where required.
Adhere to all sections of COSHH & Risk assessments. Use the correct PPE.
Ensure you & section staff follow ESD protocols (log filling etc).
Report all Accidents & Near Misses in a timely manner to direct line Manager or Production Supervisor.
