About us

ASN's Energy Solutions Business Unit develops and markets solutions for the energy sector through several product lines.

 

Your missions

 As a technical project manager within the Energy Solutions BU, you will be responsible for the technical design of the system in line with the customer's specifications and will manage acceptance tests at system and product level with the customer, from the pre-sales phase through to final acceptance of the project.

 

As technical manager for pre-sales studies, your tasks will be as follows:

  • Define the technical solution(s) needed to meet the customer's specifications and problems as part of a pre-sales study or commercial offer.
  • Coordinate and manage the execution of feasibility study contracts for future projects.

As part of a commercial offer:

  • Manage the preparation of the technical specifications for the contract through to signature;
  • Leading discussions, presentations and negotiations with the customer on the technical aspects of the offer, in consultation with the sales team;
  • Evaluating the cost of the technical solutions proposed and researching/promoting changes to optimise costs;
  • Provide the technical elements required to draw up the project schedule;
  • Identify the technical risks of the project;

As technical manager during project execution:

  • Working with the customer and/or the customer's subcontractors (interface engineering) to define the system and its naming rules, taking into account the possible options, respecting the project's time constraints and taking account of the commercial impact.
  • Propose new configurations or new services in response to customer requests or external constraints, studying the possible impacts in terms of project schedule and cost.
  • Coordinating teams of experts from various fields, to ensure that the engineering of the system, network and equipment, as well as the performance of the submerged and emerged product, comply with the requirements of the contract: power supply budget, general optical design of the system and acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinating with the R&D and PLM teams the introduction of new products or the adaptation of existing products (particularly for the oil & gas, scientific and new markets) required to deliver the project.
  • Leading the completion of the line diagram, in conjunction with the marine and design teams, taking into account marine and optical constraints.
  • Ensure that equipment qualification, certifications and ad-hoc test campaigns are compatible with project requirements.
  • Lead the acceptance of the system design and the demonstration of the technology, in accordance with the terms of the contract.
  • Organising the definition, agreement with the customer and execution of acceptance tests for the system as a whole with the commissioning teams.
  • Drawing up the overall project plan, taking into account dependencies between tasks, dispatch times, activity times and any other constraints, in conjunction with the other members of the project team.
  • Contributing to the analysis and optimisation of costs and risk analyses for all phases of the project, from design to installation and final acceptance.
  • Participating in internal and external project progress reports.

Wanted profil

Keys to success 

You have a scientific Master's degree or equivalent - Centrale mécanique, Centrale Nantes, Arts et métiers.

- Experience and technical skills in the fields of optics, electricity, mechanics and umbilical riser.

- Knowledge of the detailed and overall performance of a DCFO and FOC system;

- Familiarity with submerged and platform or station equipment for the DCFO and FOC product lines;

- Demonstrates good customer relations skills (internal and external);

- Technical project management skills;

- Good command of technical English;

- Good communication skills (oral and written).
