As the Offshore Operations Manager at ASN Marine, you will be responsible for the operational management of vessels and the coordination of maritime projects. Your role covers the entire operational cycle, from logistical and technical preparation to the supervision of at-sea activities.
You will ensure the availability and compliance of marine assets while coordinating interfaces between field teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders. This position requires a rigorous approach to guarantee adherence to technical, administrative, and QHSE procedures, as well as seamless information flow between all project stakeholders.

  • Coordinate the acquisition of necessary authorisations (operational permits, regulatory compliance) with subcontractors and local institutions.
  • Contribute to the drafting of technical specifications for tenders and subcontractors.
  • Execution and Supervision
Ensure real-time operational monitoring: participate in briefings and relay critical information (delays, incidents) between vessels and project teams.
  • Optimise logistical resources (reallocation of assets, schedule adjustments) and coordinate the import of cable-laying vessels.
  • Make autonomous decisions in emergency situations (damage, non-compliance) in collaboration with mission leaders.

Compliance and Reporting

  • Verify and validate crew visas, authorisations, and vessel insurance policies.
  • Monitor port call expenses and recharged costs in coordination with the finance department.
  • Analyse maritime incidents, supervise corrective measures, and participate in QHSE audits.
  • Draft final reports (technical summaries, cost analyses) and contribute to claims files.

Technical Expertise and External Interface

  • Provide technical support to project, R&D, and commercial teams.
  • Represent ASN in technical meetings with suppliers, subcontractors, and local institutions.

Wanted profil

Degree: Master’s level (Bac+5) in maritime sciences, offshore engineering, or a related technical field (cable laying, subsea technologies, naval maintenance).

Experience:

  • Minimum 3–5 years in maritime operations, with proven expertise in cable laying, burial, or offshore maintenance.
  • Operational knowledge of maritime QHSE standards (SOLAS, ISM, ISO 45001) and experience in subcontractor management.
  • Experience in international project coordination would be an asset.

Skills:

  • Rigour and organisation: Ability to manage complex technical processes with method and precision.
  • Autonomy and initiative: Capacity to propose pragmatic solutions to optimise operations and resolve real-time issues.
  • Safety culture: Strong awareness of QHSE challenges and strict adherence to maritime safety protocols.
