We are now getting ready for an absolutely new captivating project, the series 'Messi and the Giants', produced by Sony Music Vision, Sony Pictures Television Kids and Leo Messi Management, and broadcasted by Disney. An epic saga where a young boy named Leo is transported from his home in Argentina into a fantastical alternate universe.

Job Description

Atlantis Animation is seeking a Junior/Mid-level Production Coordinator to join our production team.

 

The Production Coordinator supports the Line Producer, Production Managers, and department supervisors in the smooth day-to-day running of the production. This role will work closely with the Sound Design and Editing departments, helping ensure workflows run smoothly and schedules are maintained.

The coordinator will track progress, organize reviews and meetings, maintain accurate production records, and flag potential schedule risks to help keep the project on track. Acting as a key point of contact for the departments, the Production Coordinator helps ensure that information, assets, and feedback flow efficiently between teams and departments throughout the production process.

 

Location: 100% On-site at our studio in Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain).

Type of contract: Fixed-term employee contract (No freelance contracts for this specific project)

Duration of the contract: From May/June 2026 until at least April 2027, depending on the project needs

 

Main Responsabilities and Requirements

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate  the daily operations of the department and act as a central point of communication between the Head of the department, Production, the artists, and supervisors;

  • Prioritise department/crew tasks in line with schedule requirements and consistently checking-in with the artists, leads, and supervisors frequently with an emphasis on ensuring that the department is delivered on time as per the Project/s schedule

  • Ensure the team is aware of upcoming deadlines and has the necessary information or materials to complete their tasks on time.

  • Coordinate reviews, rounds, and meetings, ensuring feedback and approvals are communicated clearly and followed up with relevant departments.

  • Track the status of shots and assist with coordinating deliveries between departments and editorial.

  • Maintain accurate production data and updates within ShotGrid (Flow).

  • Prepare and share regular reports on department progress for the production team.

  • Attend department meetings, take notes when required, and distribute key information to relevant team members.

  • Help maintain departmental documentation, reports, and tracking templates.

  • Support onboarding for artists and new starters when required.

  • Notify the Production Manager of any issues within the team or delays/overages and help resolve issues.

  • Assist with coordinating the Director’s review sessions when required.

  • Ensure smooth workflow between departments by coordinating the movement of work and information.

  • And all other duties and responsibilities as reasonably required by the Production Company.

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Production Coordinator in the Animation and/or VFX industry.

  • Experience working with production tracking tools such as ShotGrid (Flow).

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • High attention to details.

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.

  • Comfortable working in a collaborative and fast-paced creative environment.

  • Fluent English (written and spoken).

  • Ability to work on-site at our studio in Tenerife.

  • Valid EU/Spanish work permit required.
