Communications Officer W/M

Role summary

We are looking for a Communication Officer to join our team and play a pivotal role in amplifying the Institute's voice. You will develop communication plans, create compelling content for a range of platforms, and play a key role in building communities around Idiap's ground-breaking research. If you are a curious communicator who can translate complex ideas into engaging content, then we would love to hear from you! While we plan for this role to be full-time, we are open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Duties include

• Support in the development of effective communication action plans to disseminate the Institute strategy
• Liaise with the Institute researchers to streamline the dissemination of research outcomes
• Set and implement social media and communication campaigns
• Coordinate the Institute interactions with the press
• Draft content (e.g. press releases) for mass media and Institute website
• Create engaging text, image and video content for the Institute website and social media accounts
• Monitor and report on social media engagement and comments/reviews about the Institute
• Help build communities and boost awareness around initiatives of the Institute
• Write and coordinate the production of the Institute annual reports
• Draft and deliver internal newsletters
  
  
  

Your Profile

• Keen interest in artificial intelligence, science and technology; prior knowledge or proven experience is an asset
• Willingness to evolve in the field of science communication
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
• Excellent organizational and planning abilities
• Skilled at building rapport with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
• Skills in CMS management and content production
• Working knowledge of photo and video-editing software
• Ability to interpret website traffic and online engagement metrics

Required language

Fluency in English. French, German, and Italian are pluses.
