Postdoctoral position on PEDs, system integration and urban strategies for climate-neutral cities F/M

Job Description

The group researches into ways of simulating energy transition pathways with intelligent control and adjustment mechanisms of evolving buildings with retrofitting and use, renewable energy production and energy storage in a changing climate.

Profile

The ideal applicant should have finished, or be close to finishing, a PhD dissertation on a topic related to urban physics or urban data science. Applicants should demonstrate excellent research experience in their field, strong publication record and ability to do creative and significant research with relative level of autonomy. Finally, applicants should have some knowledge in machine learning and/or physical modelling, with good programming skills (C/C++ and/or Python) and the Linux environment. Experience in writing scientific papers, participating to conferences, or working in multi-disciplinary teams in an internationally oriented environment would be a plus.

Fluency in English. French is a plus
