Description du poste

HTL Biotechnology Innovation Inc (HTL BII) Based in Nutley, New Jersey, is seeking a fermentation engineer to support our recombinant protein platform with an advanced recombinant human collagen type III (rhCOL3).

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

 

This role will be responsible for day-to-day operations in the fermentation lab and pilot facility. This includes the preparation and sterilization of equipment and media, experimental design, SOP writing, monitoring and optimizing fermentation processes, and cleaning and maintenance of fermentation systems.

 

  • Understand the operation, maintenance, and function of aerobic fermenters ranging in size from 250 ml to 200L.
  • Design and execute experiments based on established protocols or procedures at either laboratory or pilot scale with limited explanation and supervision.
  • Analyze results from executed experiments, document findings and give group presentations.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records consistent with company policy and legal requirements.
  • Help facilitate projects through adherence to established project or company timelines.
  • Contribute to lab equipment maintenance and safety to help create a safe, effective, and efficient working environment.
  • Anticipate and recognize potential problems with laboratory supplies and equipment and takes action to prevent and solve problems.
  • Actively engage in SOP training and compliance responsibilities.

 

Profil recherché

Experience, Skills & Knowledge:

 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemical engineering, Biochemistry or Microbiology with 3-5 years' experience in related field. Experience in a GMP environment is a plus.
  • A foundation of basic scientific, engineering, and analytical principles obtained through academic training and/or experience.
  • Possesses good organizational, communication, analytical, computer, and technical writing skills.
  • High degree of personal accountability with the ability to work independently and deliver results within project-specific timelines.
  • Self-motivated, passionate about your work, and comfortable working in a fast-paced interdisciplinary environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, is detailed-oriented in their experimental design and has the ability to work independently and deliver results within project specific timelines.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and pivot as needed.
  • Effective team player, ability to work effectively with others in a team-oriented environment.
