Position Summary
The Business Unit Pastry Director will lead the strategic and commercial development of the pastry division in Vietnam. This role combines strong market expertise, deep relationships with key pastry chains and OEM industrial players, and the ability to animate and coach sales teams. The position requires a dynamic, entrepreneurial leader who can strengthen partnerships with suppliers, open new key accounts, and ensure profitable growth across both the HORECA and industrial pastry OEM channels.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Strategy
- Define and implement the commercial strategy for the Pastry Business Unit in line with company objectives.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, particularly with industrial pastry chains and OEM manufacturers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with purchasing managers, R&D departments, and production heads within OEM clients.
- Work closely with the GM to forecast sales, manage budgets, and set growth targets.
Sales Team Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and develop the HORECA sales team, ensuring a deep understanding of the pastry range and its applications.
- Set clear sales objectives and support the team in achieving them through field accompaniment, product training, and performance follow-up.
- Promote a customer-centric sales culture focused on quality, service, and long-term relationships.
Supplier Relations & Product Portfolio
- Act as the key contact for pastry suppliers (butter, cream, couverture chocolate, purées, decorations, frozen desserts, etc.).
- Coordinate product launches, sampling campaigns, and supplier visits in collaboration with marketing.
- Ensure the portfolio remains competitive and aligned with market trends and client needs.
Marketing & Brand Activation
- Collaborate with the marketing team to organize product demonstrations, chef workshops, and trade events.
- Strengthen the visibility of the pastry range within the professional community.
- Contribute to digital and offline promotional content (newsletters, recipes, chef collaborations).
Profile required
Background
- Vietnamese national with strong roots in the pastry and bakery industry.
- Proven network and “entrées” with OEM pastry chains, industrial producers, and HORECA distributors.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in sales, key account management, or business development within the food ingredients or pastry sector.
