We are seeking a Senior 1st Assistant Director for our 3D animation series, based on-site in Tenerife, Canarias. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with preferably 5 years of experience in the 3D animation pipeline and strong technical expertise to oversee all production stages effectively. This role involves ensuring smooth production operations, allowing the director to focus on creative aspects. You will be responsible for keeping the production organized, on schedule, and within budget, while maintaining high-quality output across all departments involved in the production pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:
- Production Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison between the director and all production departments (animation, backgrounds, scriptwriting, etc.), ensuring seamless communication and workflow.
- Schedule Management: Develop and maintain the production schedule, organize work sessions, production meetings, and allocate time for each sequence to keep production moving forward.
- Team Supervision: Oversee the work of animation, 3D modeling, rendering, and technical teams, ensuring their output meets the director’s creative vision and quality standards.
- Directorial Support: Assist the director with preparation, including storyboards, technical breakdowns, and animatics, ensuring the director’s vision is followed throughout the production.
- Deadline & Budget Control: Monitor deadlines and budgets to ensure the project stays on schedule and within financial constraints, addressing any risks of overspending or delays.
- Post-Production Oversight: Supervise post-production work, including finalizing animations, coordinating visual effects, and overseeing sound editing.
- Problem-Solving: Act as the first point of contact to resolve daily production challenges, quickly addressing unforeseen issues and finding effective solutions.
- Understanding and speaking English is essential.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Senior-level experience in a 3D animation production pipeline—preferably with +5 years of experience across all stages, from pre-production to post-production.
- Strong technical knowledge of 3D animation tools, software, and processes.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple production phases simultaneously.
- Effective communication and team management abilities to relay the director’s instructions across departments.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, manage tight deadlines, and deliver high-quality results.
- Quick thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address production challenges proactively.
- Must be an EU citizen or possess valid work permission in Spain.
