Job description

The Computation, Cognition, and Language Group is looking for a postdoc to complement its cross-disciplinary team for a duration of 2 years.

The postdoc will lead their own research in collaboration with researchers in Human Resource Management at EHL Hospitality Business School, the company ARCA24 in Ticino, and a team of researchers and developers at Idiap on the topic of recruitment, focusing on matching the right profiles with the right positions. In order to do this well and in accordance with modern insights from Management Studies, we will not only focus on hard skills but also soft skills and person-organisation fit. Furthermore, models will need to incorporate structured and unstructured information in multiple languages, mitigate bias, and explain their results. These are highly relevant topics in NLP, which are expected to result in high-quality publications.

The appointment for this position is for 24 months, starting as soon as possible, with possibilities for renewal depending on funding availability.

Sought profil

*Ph.D. degree (or close to completion) in Computer Science or another relevant discipline

* Track record of scientific contributions in NLP, evidenced by high-quality first-author publications

* Interest in working in a cross-disciplinary team, working on a diverse set of languages

* Solid English communication skills (scientific writing and speaking)

* Confident in Python programming

* Expertise in any of following areas is a plus but not required: cross-lingual transfer learning, neuro-symbolic methods
