Role summary

We are looking for an Assistant to the Institute Director to provide high-quality support in implementing the strategy of the Institute, coordinate activities and communities around the Idiap Research Programs, and promote the national and international visibility of the Institute among scientific and technological stakeholders, institutional partners and a range of audiences. While we plan for this role to be full-time, we are open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

 

Duties include

 

-         Supporting the Director in implementing the strategy of the Institute

-         Coordinating the Research Programs and other key initiatives developed by the Institute

-         Liaising with Principal Investigators and the various teams at the Institute to collect and share relevant information

-         Demonstrating research prototypes to various audiences

-         Maintaining relations with companies, research institutions and non-governmental organizations

-         Producing briefings and drafts of presentations for the Director, and documenting actions and decisions

-         Attending internal and external meetings and events to gather and share information, and to develop relationships

-         Supporting the implementation of the fundraising strategy and the creation of partnerships

Your Profile


-    PhD degree in a discipline related to artificial intelligence 
-    Programming skills suitable to demonstrate research prototypes
-    Understanding of the culture and incentives of different research communities
-    Ability to interact with individuals at different seniority levels and in different functions 
-    Strong sense of organization and responsibility, autonomy and proactivity
-    Willingness to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment
-    Desire to work in a multicultural environment
-    Ability to develop and manage communities
-    Highly motivated by the opportunity to support a world-changing Institute


Required language
Fluency in English. French, German and Italian are pluses.
