PURPOSE OF THE JOB (brief description in one or two sentences of the purpose of the job: why it exists and the expected outcome)

Manage the financial performance of activities and investment projects for the supported management.  The business controller must imperatively respect the expected budget guidelines and ensure that they are observed by all members of the executive committee.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

 

Level 1:

 

  • Carry out and coordinate monthly and quarterly financial closings both in quality and on time for the P&L and balance sheet lines managed by IO management in Greenwich (variances related to production cycles, calculation of provisions for stocks, fixed costs and inventory).
  • Guarantee monthly and quarterly financial closings are done both in quality and on time (direct and indirect headcount, absorption of costs by production orders/projects, Opex, variances on purchases, stocks, etc.)
  • Support the development and calculation of reporting for IO management in Greenwich (KPIs, reporting, etc.), report and correct anomalies detected and be a source of proposals for the improvement of KPIs.
  • Monitor purchasing indicators to support the forecasting of foreign currency purchases and the forecasting of purchase variances or PPVs
  • Accompany and support ad-hoc management decision-making: profitability calculation, costs and simulation.
  • Advocate and play a leading role in the transformation and harmonization of financial and operational processes.
  • Ensure budgetary control and challenge the expenses in his/her scope.
  • Carry out gap analyses and implement corrective actions in collaboration with business partners.
  • Analyze and report the financial risks identified and contribute to the development of a corrective plan in collaboration with the various departments concerned.
  • Perform SOX controls and support the various internal/external audits.
  • Develop and maintain processes and procedures.

Wanted profil

REQUIRED TRAINING

 

 Business school training, Batchelors degree in finance and/or Management Control (BAC+5)

 

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

 

  • Level 1 :
  • ü Experience in management control from 1 to 5 years minimum required
  • ü Experience with MS suite (Excel, Power point...)
  • ü Very good knowledge of an ERP (ideally SAP modules FI, CO and MM)
  • ü Very good analytical and synthesis skills
  • ü Good oral and written communication
  • ü Rigour
