Graduate Contract Recruitment Assistant

Overall Objectives of the Role

  • To support the optimisation of the end-to-end recruitment process for temporary operators, ensuring ASN can scale its workforce efficiently to meet increased production demands.
  • This role focuses on sourcing, assessing, onboarding, and retaining temporary staff while improving attrition rates and data-driven decision-making.

 

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop and implement a scalable recruitment plan for temporary operators, aligned with production needs and ASN’s 2027/8 expansion goals.
  • Liaise with recruitment agency, Local DWP and Colleges to source and attract temporary operators
  • Organise and attend job fairs to promote ASN’s temporary roles and attract diverse candidates.
  • Identify root causes of attrition among temporary staff and implement retention strategies
  • Collaborate with HR and Operations to align recruitment with production demands and training schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with ASN temporary worker rules to maintain longer term contracts.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTONOMY

  • Manage the assessment process for temporary operators, including technical tests and interviews.
  • Coordinate onboarding logistics for temporary staff, including inductions, training allocation, and Papaya LMS setup.
  • Track and report on recruitment KPIs, attrition rates, and diversity metrics, using Tableau and Papaya LMS.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & TRAININGS

  • Business Management Degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge of UK employment law
  • Experience of manufacturing recruitment would be advantage.

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCES & COMPETENCIES

  • Strong stakeholder management skills to work with recruitment agencies, HR, and Operations
  • Data-driven decision-making and ability to use Tableau/Papaya LMS for reporting
  • Experience of working with recruitment agencies.
  • Good knowledge of recruitment process.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities (e.g., job fairs, assessments, onboarding, SWAP)
  • Problem-solving to address attrition issues and candidate shortages
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
