General Description
Industrialisation and manufacturing support to ASN Power Feeding Equipment (PFE) product. The PFE provides the line current to power undersea cable systems, generating High Voltage from a low voltage (48V) DC supply with a long system life and high reliability.

Job Purpose
Industrialisation of the PFE Manufacturing test facilities. Where agreed, design, development and commissioning of new facilities as required. 
Design and manufacture of bespoke test jigs for testing digital and analogue PBA and assemblies as required.
Creation and maintenance of test programs using National Instruments CVI/LabView
Preparation & documentation of manufacturing procedures and processes as required.
Support to major PFE production investigations, liaising between production and Design Engineers, 

Responsibilities include:
-    Industrialisation and new product introduction to the manufacturing with these technologies:
-    SMPS
-    HV/low current (<3A) measurements, with insulation and galvanic isolation up to 20kV
-    LV/high current (>500A) circuit design
-    Closed loop control (analogue and digital)
-    HV safety and interlock systems
•    Collaborate on the creation of Design FMEA
•    Participate in design reviews and positively influence design for manufacturing and assembly at an early stage
•    Specify and introduce assembly jigs & fixtures and in-line test equipment in partnership with the R&D team and contract manufacturers.
•    Create and manage product and production technical documentation.
•    Maintain the company’s engineering data within an ISO and PLM systems such as PTC windchill.
•    Working closely with engineering partners and contract manufacturers in post-design development activities into production. 
Develop layout and facility requirements- identify and estimate costs for necessary tooling, equipment, and facility investments

Required skills 
-    Circuit design and prototyping
-    Test jig design and fabrication
-    Test program development and automation using CVI/LabView.

Experience in the following disciplines would also be beneficial:
-    High Voltage testing.
-    Embedded control systems
-    Interfaces (VME, RS422/485/232, CAN, USB, Ethernet)
-    A to D and D to A techniques

Wanted profil

Experience & Qualifications

Electrical and Electronics Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in relevant Industrial, manufacturing environment or R & D.

Good understanding of general electrical/electronic and mechanical engineering principles with expertise in the primary disciplines listed above.

Good communication skills.
