PRIMARY PURPOSE AND OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB:

Role required within PFE Manufacturing to conduct PFE product and Customer Factory Acceptance tests, analyse and repair manufacturing and customer failures. Provide technical support for manufacturing processes.

 

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct on site and virtual Customer Factory Acceptance Tests in the presence of Customers in accordance with Manufacturing Instructions and procedures.
  • Have strong HV product knowledge, coupled with clear communication skills to ensure that a positive customer experience is achieved during Factory Acceptance Tests.
  • Liaise with the relevant Product and Project managers to ensure that Customer visits are appropriately scheduled in accordance with the Manufacturing Plan.
  • Engage with the PFE Industrialisation team to ensure that Suite Test Software and documentation are released in advance of product test.
  • Assist engineering by providing feedback and insight to improve/define processes, product and documentation.
  • Actively liaise with the quality department to ensure that product always meets ASN standards.
  • Liaise with the Logistics team to manage the shipping of product in accordance with customer requirements and the Manufacturing Plan.
  • Test PFE suites and Sub-assemblies in accordance to Manufacturing test Instructions.
  • Conduct suite wiring and disassembly of PFE Suites according to wiring and build instructions.
  • Ensure that PFE equipment and Test stations are compliant within Manufacturing.
  • Support manufacturing investigations and analyse field failures to provide root cause analysis reports.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing.
  • Conduct regular HV audits and tests to ensure that the department is compliant.
  • Meet the departments KPI’s to ensure that targets are met according to the manufacturing plan.

Planning and Reporting

·         Ensure that proactive planning and scheduling of repairs and testing is conducted.

·         Ensure that all issues are logged on the ITS system, supporting investigation, corrective and preventative actions.

 

Training

 

·         Lead departmental training; ensuring departmental training qualification/re-qualification plans are up to date. Ensure that all mandatory safety and quality training is up to date relating to the PFE testing function.

·         Assist supervisor in carrying out & recording  training reviews with section staff.

·         Deliver product related operator training (both technical and software) working alongside ASN GH Training school function.

·         Build employee motivation and morale to be more productive.

·         Participate in training continuous improvement initiatives to optimise and improve the department.

 

 

QHSE

 

·         Ensure that all Health and Safety and Quality rules are strictly always adhered to within the area.

·         Ensure section product paperwork/SAP is correctly completed.

·         Participate in improvements & assist in improvement implementation.

·         Provide departmental lost time data for supervisor reports.

·         Assist supervisor to ensure Departmental health safety checks are carried out on time and equipment is labelled where required.

·         Adhere to all section COSHH & Risk assessments. Use the correct PPE.

·         Ensure you & section staff follow ESD protocols.

·         Report all Accidents & Near Misses in a timely manner to Supervisor.

Wanted profil

  • HND/ Degree in Electronics Discipline OR equivalent qualification or relevant experience.
  • Must have previous and demonstrable experience reading electronic schematic diagrams, using test equipment and fault find electronic products to component level.
