Purpose of the Job:

The Management of several Submerged Plant production departments, ensuring that the safety, and quality are adhered to and that delivery output is achieved. Deploying the appropriate facilities and staff efficiently, safely and to the required standard.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that safety aspects are respected and followed
  • Targets are met to the correct quality standard driving a follow the process mindset whilst encouraging staff to stop if they are not clear
  • Adherence to the manufacturing plans
  • Working with Engineering to ensure support is available to keep production moving forward
  • Analysis and achievement of the staffing levels required for the agreed output
  • Analysis and achievement of the labour variances for each department
  • Analysis and achievement of the scrap variances for each department
  • Analysis and agreement of the standard hours for each product
  • Analysis and agreement of the facilities required for each product, for the agreed output
  • Analysis and implementation of efficient layouts for each department and product.
  • Actively participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives driving the use of Micro Projects
  • Preparation of metrics
  • Assist with the development and coaching of Supervisors and leading hands
  • Plan cross training in department

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of working as Manufacturing Supervisor/Manager
  • Green Belt
  • Experience of working within a clean area manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Proven people management experience an advantage
  • Good knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Excel
