To assemble and test SLTE and PFE manufactured assemblies to the required production specifications, adherence to ASN shift patterns when required.

 

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

•Understand and comply with the manufacturing area environmental rules. Adhere to mandatory Quality and Safety procedures, including build documentation, ESD, Risk assessments, COSHH and Manual Handling regulations. 
•Read and follow instructions, drawings and specifications in line with contract assembly requirements. 
•Ensure all operations required are carried out to the correct build standard and in-line with associated documentation.  
•Maintain the quality standard required for the product, ensuring any concerns are taken to supervision. Work with colleagues and supervision to improve quality where possible. 
•Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, to optimise and improve the department. 
•Execution of the Manufacturing Re-Assessment & Random Assessment programme (OCA), to maintain quality and operator skills level. 
•Ensure that all build levels and materials consumed are accurately transacted on SAP. 
•Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations. 
•Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and resolve any issues that arise during assembly. 
•Support the on the job and school training of department staff, when required. 
•Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills. 
•Communicate effectively with departmental staff & Supervisor. 
•Adhere to all ASN policies and procedures. 
 

RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTONOMY

•Works independently within set procedures to meet production and SLA requirements.
•Prioritises tasks based on production demand and material availability.
•Investigates and resolves stock or transactional discrepancies within defined limits.
•Escalates issues to Team Leader/Supervisor when required.
•Contributes to process improvements and supports departmental initiatives.
  • Maintains personal training, safety compliance, and quality reporting without supervision

Wanted profil

REQUIRED EDUCATION & TRAININGS

•NVQ Level 3 or equivalent

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCES & COMPETENCIES

•Previous experience of working within a manufacturing environment is essential.  
•Good hand-eye coordination, Fine motor skills, dexterity, mobility, mental agility and ability to learn. 
•Experience of product: mechanical & electrical assembly and operator training is essential
•Hand soldering and product test is preferred, but not essential.
•Understanding of technical drawings and the ability to interpret. 
•Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high quality work
•Effective communication across departments.
•Ability to prioritise and work under pressure, problem solving and root cause investigation skills.
•Team focused with ability to support and mentor others.
•Adherence to safety, quality, and clean area protocols.
•Confident using IT and warehouse system tools
