Primary Responsibilities:
- Carry out testing, fault diagnosis and repair of assemblies and sub-assemblies prior to release.
- Verify product compliance against manufacturing test instructions and quality requirements.
- Perform product wiring and disassembly in line with approved build instructions where applicable and required.
- Identify, investigate and report product faults and non-conformances.
- Support manufacturing investigations and assist with root cause analysis.
- Ensure all test equipment and stations remain compliant and operational.
- Conduct audits and testing to maintain departmental compliance.
- Complete all required documentation accurately within SAP and departmental systems.
- Support product readiness for Factory Acceptance Test and final shipment, where required.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve testing efficiency and product quality.
- Work to departmental KPIs to ensure that targets are met according to the manufacturing plan.
- Ensure that equipment and Test stationsare compliantwithin Manufacturing.
- Support manufacturing investigations andanalyse field failurestoprovide root cause analysis reports.
- Activelyparticipatein continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing.
- Teamwork:
- Must work well within a team andmust beorganised.
- Planning and Reporting
- Ensure that proactive planning and scheduling of testing is conducted.
- Ensure thatallissues are logged on the ITS system, supporting investigation,correctiveand preventative actions.
- Training
- Participate in training continuous improvement initiatives to optimise and improvethedepartment.
- QHSE
- Ensure that all Health and Safety and Quality rules are strictlyalways adhered to within the area.
- Ensuresectionproduct paperwork/SAP is correctly completed.
- Participate in improvements& assistin improvement implementation.
- Provide departmental lost time data for supervisor reports.
- Assistsupervisor and team leader to ensure Departmentalhealthsafety checks are carried out on time and equipment is labelled whererequired.
- Adhere to allsectionCOSHH & Risk assessments. Use the correct PPE.
- Ensure you & section staff follow ESD protocols.
- Report all Accidents & Near Missesin a timely mannerto Supervisor or Team Leader
RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTONOMY
- Carry out testing, repair and verification activities in line with approved procedures
- Ensure products are technically compliant before release to the next production stage
- Escalate technical, quality or safety concerns promptly
- Support production delivery through accurate and timely completion of work
- Work independently within established processes under Supervisor guidance
- Maintain strict adherence to QHSE standards, risk assessments, ESD protocols, and safety regulations.
Wanted profil
- HNC/HND in Electronics or equivalent technical qualification, or relevant practical experience
- Training in electrical/electronic testing practices
- Awareness of Health & Safety, ESD and quality requirements
- Experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement is desirable.
- Must be able to read electronic schematic diagrams,
- Experience using test equipment
- Experience in fault finding electronic products to component level
