OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB
- Perform a variety of Product Inspection activities including electrical, optical & mechanical inspection.
- Inspect parts and assemblies to the required specifications, within the inspection standard hours.
- Raise non-conformance report in event of an observed or measured deviation from specified requirements.
- Mentor lesser experience Inspectors where required & lead by example following all procedures.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Execute product and process inspection within Manufacturing and Incoming Goods & Stores areas.
- Ensure all products inspected meet applicable requirements and any permits applied are within date.
- Ensure product is being released with correct documentation.
- Ensure all inspection tooling and equipment used within prescribed calibration date & in good working order.
- Ensure all specs & drawings used are up to date at point of use, raise ITS to address problem if not.
- Communicate effectively with departmental colleagues & supervision.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with department colleagues and team supervisor.
- Assist Inspection Supervisor to ensure the section's weekly inspection demand is met.
- Ensure material availability, promptly close down SAP inspection confirmations.
- Participate in basic team briefings within assigned section or Production Area.
- Ensure personal Training Competency Records are up to date.
- Ensure personal training qualification/re-qualification plans are up to date. Liaise with Supervisor.
- Participate in personal yearly training reviews with section supervisor.
- Adhere to local clean area rules and protocols (ESD, COSHH, Risk Assessments, PPE etc).
- Ensure personal product paperwork/SAP is correctly completed.
- Report product quality issues in a timely manner to team supervisor.
- Carry out QC AMP approval release activities when required.
- Support QA team with RCA investigations in the event of significant non-conformance or when required.
- Raise ITS tickets where non-conformance events or non-conforming material/products have been identified.
