We are currently looking for an experienced Floor Manager to join our management team and play a key role in the daily operation of the restaurant.

YOUR ROLE

As Floor Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Front of House team during service and ensuring that every guest receives the level of hospitality and attention expected at BERTA.

Working closely with the restaurant management, kitchen and bar teams, you will be a strong presence on the floor and a reference point for the team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and supervising the Front of House team during service
• Ensuring smooth, organised and efficient service from opening to closing
• Briefing the team before service and communicating priorities, reservations and special requests
• Managing sections and adapting the floor plan according to business levels
• Maintaining a strong presence on the floor throughout service
• Welcoming guests and building relationships with regular and new customers
• Monitoring guest satisfaction and anticipating needs
• Handling guest feedback and complaints professionally and effectively
• Ensuring consistent application of BERTA's service standards
• Coordinating closely with the kitchen and bar to maintain an efficient service flow
• Supporting the team during high-volume periods
• Training, coaching and developing Front of House team members
• Supporting onboarding and integration of new employees
• Ensuring the team has strong menu, beverage and product knowledge
• Monitoring mise en place, cleanliness and restaurant presentation
• Supporting opening and closing procedures
• Helping maintain a positive, professional and motivating working environment
• Leading by example in terms of attitude, punctuality, organisation and hospitality

Profil recherché

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position and hospitality level
• Has strong operational restaurant experience
• Is confident managing a team and leading busy services
• Has excellent communication and organisational skills
• Has a genuine sense of hospitality and guest care
• Is proactive and solution-oriented
• Can remain calm and make good decisions under pressure
• Knows how to motivate a team while maintaining high standards
• Is hands-on and comfortable being actively involved in service
• Has strong attention to detail
• Speaks English; German is a strong advantage
• Is available full time from Tuesday to Saturday
• Can start immediately or by early October at the latest

WORK AUTHORISATION & AVAILABILITY

Candidates must already have the legal right to work in Germany and must be legally available to work with BERTA for a minimum period of 6 months.

Unfortunately, we cannot consider student visa holders or candidates whose current work authorisation only allows them to work for a short period of a few months.
