Our customer base is composed of Restaurants, Hotels, Independent Delicatessens, Retailers and prestigious Food Halls.

Principal Accountabilities & Objectives

  • Manage the list of products & suppliers:
  • Maintain the list of available products
  • Forecast required inventory levels:
  • Liaise with sales staff to identify new and lost sales and monitor customers’ interests
  • Monitor seasonal trends and variations
  • Ensure correct, on-time replenishment
  • Organise goods deliveries
  • Control & input of goods received:
  • Control inventory levels
  • Organise spot checks
  • Investigate discrepancies and identify errors
  • Propose corrective actions in collaboration with management & warehouse staff
  • Performance review & evaluation
  • Provide support & information to the other departments of the company
  • Supplier maintenance
  • Review current daily and weekly product consumptions
  • Place replenishment orders to suppliers
  • Organise cycle counts/stock takes
  • Internally: shortages & wastage
  • Sales department & customer relations
  • Communicate about new products and products delisted
  • Provide product information when requested (technical information, photos)
  • Provide product availability and delivery information
  • Inform about lead times, pre-order schedules
  • Provide a daily report on missing goods first thing in the morning
  • Provide a mid-afternoon missing goods update
  • Send a daily update on short-dated and slow-moving products to be pushed by the sales team
  • Communicate with customers regarding fresh products and pre-orders on a weekly basis (seasonal products eg. Truffles, fruits and vegetables, short shelf-life products eg. pre-sliced charcuterie, fresh cheese.)
  • Warehouse
  • Products returned from customers
  • Review daily date checks filled up by warehouse staff
  • Provide the list of arriving goods prior to goods-in deliveries for the warehouse staff to check goods received.
  • Organise spot checks when required
  • Accounts
  • Review supplier invoices when requested
  • Inform accounts of any upcoming supplier price changes
  • Drivers

  • Make recommendations for income generation and/or expenditure.

  • Operate to high moral and personal standards.
  • Information management
  • Obtain and evaluate information to aid decision-making.
  • Contribute to discussions to solve problems and make decisions.
  • Health and safety
  • Contribute to a safe working environment.
  • Report to direct manager any Health & Safety Hazard or accidents.
  • Being responsible for his/her own safety.
  • Food safety responsibilities
  • Check fridge and freezers temperatures and scales (NB: Fridge should be under 5ºC, 7ºC tolerated; freezers should be under -18ºC, -15ºC tolerated)
  • Report to direct manager any potential food safety and quality issues.
  • Attend trainings and to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
  • Order supplier brochures and sales documents
  • Damaged products
  • Inform accounts of any supplier claims on missing or damaged goods
  • Organise collection of goods from local suppliers when required
  • Monitor and control the use of resources on a cost-effective basis.
  • Create, maintain and enhance effective working relationships with peers and work colleagues, both within the department and throughout the company.
  • Accurately record and store information that is easily retrievable.
  • Being aware of and follow relevant health and safety policies, procedures and instructions.
  • Contribute to the selling of safe and high-quality products by being aware of and follow relevant food safety and quality policy, procedures and instructions.

Contribute to a hygienic work environment in compliance with company policies

Skill requirement




Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Strong hands-on knowledge of PC operating systems
Microsoft Office Suite specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel

French-speaking is MANDATORY
