Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and support HPC-focused datacenter infrastructure.
- Participate in architectural decisions related to computing systems.
- Stay informed on developments in system resources and technologies.

Missions :
- Assurer l'installation, la maintenance et le support de l’infrastructure datacenter orienté HPC
- Participer aux décisions d’architecture des systèmes de computing
- Assurer une veille technologique pour les ressources systèmes

Your profile
- HES/EPFL Graduate in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of experience as a systems engineer
- Expertise in the following technologies: HPC Scheduling (Slurm), HPC technologies (NVIDIA, CUDA, hardware topology), Automation (Ansible)
- Good knowledge of the following technologies: Linux, Git, nstallation of open-source software, Virtualization (Proxmox, KVM), Containers (Docker, Apptainer), Networking, Data Center Infrastructure
- Detail-oriented, pragmatic, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to communicate complex research environments clearly
- Fluent in both French and English, with excellent oral and written communication skills
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of research environments
- Strong interest in open-source technologies
- Experience with Kubernetes environments (OpenShift) and related technologies
- Experience with academic cloud environments (e.g., CSCS)
- Network and storage performance optimization
- Proficiency in scripting, Python, Conda environments, and an interest in development
- Strong writing skills for documentation (Markdown)
- Excellent listening skills and a collaborative mindset

- Ingénieur HES / EPF en informatique ou expérience équivalente
- Au moins 5 ans d'expérience en tant qu'ingénieur système
- Maîtrise des technologies suivantes: Schedulling HPC (Slurm), technologies HPC (NVidia, Cuda, topologie matériel), Automatisation (Ansible)
- Bonnes Connaissances des technologies suivantes: Linux, git, installation logiciels opensource, Virtualisation (Proxmox,KVM), Containers (Docker, Apptainer), réseaux, Infrastructures DataCenter
- Rigoureux, pragmatique, capacité à travailler autant en équipe que de manière autonome
- Capacité de vulgarisation de l’environnement de recherche
- Très bonnes connaissances en français et anglais tant pour l'oral que l'écrit
Un plus :
- Connaissances des environnements de recherche
- Intérêt marqué pour les technologies open-source
- Expérience de l'environnement kubernetes (openshift) et technologies associées
- Expérience environnement cloud académique (ex: cscs)
- Optimisation performances réseau et stockage
- Bonnes connaissances scripting, python, environnements conda et intérêt pour le développement
- Facilité rédactionnelle pour la documentation de son travail (Markdown)
- Très bonne capacité d'écoute et de partage
