Position Overview:
Répertoire Culinaire, a global leader in gourmet food distribution, operates in 13 countries. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to oversee the financial operations across our subsidiaries in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions. The role is based in Bangkok, Thailand, and requires fluency in English, strong financial acumen, ERP management capacity and the ability to travel extensively within the region.
This role supports and reports to the CFO with a primary focus on the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring compliance with internal controls and corporate obligations, operational efficiency, and accurate financial reporting.
On a day-to-day basis, the candidate will be reviewing the Accounts in their key financial processes and controls. He / She will be assisting with cashflow management, reporting and audits, and contributing to team development and organizational goals. The candidate will also ensure strong accounting and reporting are in place throughout the group.
The deployment of harmonized Accounting Guidelines throughout all subsidiaries will also play an important role in the candidate’s agenda.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with local accountants and supervise financial operations in the region.
- Review monthly and quarterly reportingfor specific countries.
- Review balance sheet and cashflow.
- Review of intercompanyand bank reconciliations.
- Review andanalyze financial informationfor internal use.
- Ensurecompliancewith local legal requirements andstatutory financial statements.
- Review budgetsandupdate forecastsfor assigned countries.
- Review of the inventory and receivables
- Analyze variances between actual results and forecasts, and propose corrective actions
- Ensure strict cost control and optimization of resources
- Support management in strategic decision-making through relevant financial analysis
Profile required
Required Qualifications:
- Degree qualified in accounting
- 5+ years of experience in management control, financial analysis, or Audit
- Exceptional accuracy in financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance tasks and Excel skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and a positive work environment
- Proficient in financial management tools (ERP Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central / Navision, advanced Excel, BI tools)
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex analyses clearly and concisely
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Mobility: business travel is expected
- Excellent English proficiency is mandatory, any other language is a plus. French language is a clear advantage
