Job Purpose
The Stock Controller ensures accurate inventory management and optimal food handling standards. This role manages stock movements, supervises receiving and storage, and supports food preparation while maintaining safety, cleanliness, and product quality.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory & Stock Management
-
Monitor and record all incoming and outgoing stock with accuracy and full traceability.

Conduct weekly and monthly physical stock counts; investigate and reconcile discrepancies.

Maintain updated stock control procedures to ensure optimal stock levels.

Enforce FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) methods.

Prepare and submit regular inventory reports (stock movement, variances, shrinkage).
2. Receiving & Storage
-
Receive deliveries, inspect product quality, and verify quantities against purchase orders.

Ensure proper storage conditions for chilled, frozen, and dry products.

Track expiry dates, lot numbers, and ensure strict temperature control.

Coordinate restocking and support efficient stock replenishment.
3. Food Preparation & Equipment Handling

Slice, portion, and prepare products for daily customer orders (retail and wholesale).

Clean, maintain, and ensure proper functioning of cutting and slicing equipment.

Monitor and sharpen tools to ensure safety, hygiene, and product quality.

Adhere to all hygiene, sanitation, and food safety requirements.
4. Retail Display & Customer Service

Set up and maintain attractive, hygienic product displays at retail counters.

Provide friendly, professional customer assistance when working in customer-facing areas.
5. Process Improvement & Team Coordination

Create and update SOPs for stock control, food preparation, and equipment care.

Train and guide warehouse/stock staff on inventory and food handling procedures.

Collaborate with Finance and Sales teams to ensure accurate data entry in ERP systems (Dynamics 365 Business Central).
Profile required
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Food Technology, or related field (preferred).
-
1–3 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, food service, or hospitality.

Strong understanding of stock control principles and food safety standards.

Good command of English (spoken and written).
-
High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
-
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment.
